So my friend *Lutherniel has entered a contest to design Kingston's mascot called Hyper X Girl and I think it would be awesome if you guys can vote for him. Some of the crappier submissions are getting more votes than him, which I think probably because the person who submit them had LOTS of friends.

I think *Lutherniel's entry is pretty decent, and he definitely put in alot of effort into it as he always sends me the WIPs and concepts, and I think it won't do him justice if no one's voting for him.

HOMG HOMG I was browsing toysdaily.com earlier and I just got the happiest news ever.

The next S.I.C figure is gonna be Kamen Rider Den-O. Woohoooo <3 <3 Can't wait for it to come out. Hoboihoboihoboi.It better come out while I'm back in Malaysia. It'll suck if it's only released after my summer break since it's so much cheaper for me to get my S.I.C figures back home.

So it's been ages since I uploaded my journal, but then again, nothing has happened much the past few weeks. But anyway, for the past few weeks I've been watching some really old movies. Movies that are just so rich in emotions they make me cry. Just finished watching Jerry Maguire. Really good show. And Wicker Park.. Oh my goodness Wicker Park. And Just Like Heaven. What happened to movies like these? Movies about friendship, and love. Seriously, where have all these movies go to? Despite the fact they're old, and barely use any state of the art technology, they can touch my heart a whole lot better than what's showing on the screens today. Nowadays it's all about the explosion, explosion and more explosion. or manly taglines like "I R BEOWULF DURHUR I FIGHT NEKKID" or "Look guys we can maek our 3d peeple look ultra reel durhur"

Or maybe under the "macho", monster/robot drawing guy I am, I'm just a sucker for chick flicks. Maybe.

Hmm..

I realised lately that I don't really think much when I draw or paint, not as much as I used to. I mean, back then I used to think of a concept behind a drawing while drawing/before drawing, now it's just.. draw whatever. Which i feel makes the drawing weak because they don't exactly have a concept behind them... I mean, seriously, names like chainsawface and tentacleman or mountain giant.. seriously.. they feel somewhat... common and general.. and meh. I wonder if I've lost the passion for storytelling. Or am I still slacking. Or both.

But yeah, ugh, gotta stop procrastinating schoolwork, so I have more time for personal art, and I so have to start hauling my butt to the workshops >_< Gwah. So much must do's.

Must dish out a good enough portfolio before going back to Malaysia so I can find a decent parttime job, since I'll be back the whole summer.. Just hope I don't end up being a cashier at mc'ds or something. >_>
